Free Acne & Nutrition Guide
Nutrition and the food we eat can affect all aspects of health, so it is no surprise that diet plays a role in the development of acne. It is important to note that food is not the cause of acne, typically food may worsen already present acne or produce breakouts in an already acne prone individual.
The food we eat is information to our body, the environment around us and information about the nutrient availability that our body has. When it comes down to it we really only put two inputs into our body - food and water. Every single bodily function requires energy and this energy relies purely on what we are putting into our bodies. When put it like this, it is easy to see how important eating a healthy diet is, not only for acne and our skin, but our overall health.
As mentioned, diet is a contributor to acne, but it isn’t always consistent across individuals in improving skin. Some people will see incredible benefits from eating a healthy, acne friendly diet, others may not see the same improvements in their skin. The bonus is that there is no risk to eating healthy and you will likely see benefits in other areas of your health including energy levels or weight.
Over the coming few pages we will discuss the how the food we eat can affect our skin and more specifically, acne lesions.
