I’ve ALWAYS been a fan of lemon in my smoothies and more recently I’ve developed quite an obsession with Turmeric….to the point of creating NutiiBoost Turmeric & Ginger granola!
For those of you that don’t know, Turmeric has MANY health benefits and is very much trending on the health scene. This yellow spice has been used for more than 4000 years to treat a variety of ailments and should DEFINITELY be included in your diet.
The below smoothie is perfect for on-the-go mornings and is a refreshing post-workout recovery drink.
- High speed blender
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- ½ tsp Cayenne Pepper
- Juice of 1 lemon (I LOVE lemon… if you find it overpowering, try the juice of half a lemon first and then add the second).
- 2 Cups of chopped ripe pineapple
- 1-2 cups Coconut Water
- 1 banana (frozen or fresh)
- 1 cup of Ice (optional – I like my smoothies cold!)
Blend all ingredients in a high speed blender until smooth. Serve as an on-the-go smoothie or smoothie bowl with granola and extra fruit.
