MYER CENTRE VALENTINE’S GIFT EDIT
I feel like there are two types of people in this world – people that don’t believe in gifts or romantic gestures on Valentine’s Day, and people that DO! This post is for those that fall into the latter category.
I have my mother to thank for my pro-romantic gesture mentality. From the age of 7, up until high school, she would send a single rose to my classroom on Valentine’s Day alongside an anonymous note. I secretly knew it was from her but loved to pretend I had a secret admirer somewhere in the world. It was sweet at the time, but reflecting on this I now realise it set very high, unrealistic expectations for my future self (no wonder I was so miserable on Valentine’s Day when I was single!).
Let’s be real, it’s nice to receive a little something from your loved one on Valentine’s Day, it doesn’t have to be big or expensive, but it’s a nice little gesture to reaffirm your love for one another.

Fragrance & Skincare
Ralph Lauren Polo Red EDT – $42 – $165
Place this male fragrance high on your list of gift ideas! Slightly sweet but still very masculine, a little goes a long way so don’t be afraid to purchase the smaller bottle as he’ll still get a lot of wear out of it!
Yves Saint Laurent La Nuit de L’Homme EDT – $109 – 149
I have bought this for four boyfriends (FYI I only ever have one boyfriend at a time) – need I say more. I have also purchased this for myself because I love it so much and believe it could be classified as unisex! This is definitely a great present because it is technically also a present for you. Beware – he will get weird when you start smelling like a man but run with it.
Kiehl’s have an amazing men’s range so I strongly suggest purchasing one of their gift sets. My top two favourite products from the range is the Facial Fuel “Eye De-Puffer” and the Facial Fuel “Energizing Face Wash”.

Philips 11-in-1 Grooming Kit – $89.95 – The Shaver Shop Myer Centre
I don’t know about everyone else’s partner but shaving time seems to be code for “man time”. Mitch locks himself in the bathroom, props his phone up on the sink and watches his favourite television series for an hour while trimming his man hair.
I’ve noticed his shaving accessories getting a bit grimy and old so I believe this gift will receive a warm welcome. The Philips 11-in-1 Grooming Kit received great reviews online and is less than $100.
Long Arm Car Cradle – X6 – Fone King – $39.95
It may not be romantic, but it’s practical. If he doesn’t have one of these, it’s a no brainer. I put this on the list because I am literally going to get this for Mitch.

Fragrance
Calvin Klein Euphoria EDP $90 (Available at My Beauty Spot)
This is the one perfume I have continued to use since I was in high school. I usually go through phases of purchasing different scents throughout the year (I rarely re-purchase the same scent once I’ve finished it), however, Euphoria has continued to be replenished since 2006. Winner!
Byredo Bal D’Afrique EDP ($160 – $245)
This is my other favourite fragrance which I strictly reserve for special occasions. It is on the more expensive side but recently became available through Myer at the Mecca Concession. Heavy cedar and vetiver, makes this fragrance addictive. I am yet to come across a person that doesn’t like it. My mother, sister and I all wear it!

I love the quality of Mon Purse and am so happy this brand is now available at Myer Centre. This gift will get you extra brownie points because it includes an option to personalise. Just enter your girlfriend’s initials or name to personalise the product.

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat + Top Secrets Set $63
If you follow me on Instagram, you would know I’m all about that glow. In my opinion, radiant skin is a must for any woman. I personally love this kit! It’s amazing for brightening under the eyes and achieving natural, radiant skin.
The Ordinary SkinCare $10 – $20
Men and women, take note! This is honestly one of the most effective, yet affordable skin care brands I’ve ever used. It has recently launched into Myer so I thought I would most definitely include it in this list. My favourites are “Hyalauronic Acid 2% + B5” and “Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate 10%”.

What female doesn’t like to be pampered? Shine Beauty offers a range of different Massage, Spa & Facial packages. If you’re wanting to spoil your partner, this is gift idea is definitely a winner.
